About the Craftsman
刀鍛冶の中村英治は、農業や日常生活に役立つ実用的な道具を地域社会に提供するために、1900 年に大分に鍛冶場「中村刃物」を開設しました。現在、74 歳の孫の中村哲義氏が、息子で 4 代目鍛冶職人の中村耕造氏とともに店を経営しています。
二人の職人は伝統的な工芸技術を守りながら、現代のニーズに適応しています。包丁、家庭用刃物、農具、プロ仕様のナイフなどを製造しています。上質な鋼を使用したユニークでクリエイティブなナイフで知られる中村刃物は、実用的な機能性と独特の日本的なスタイルを融合させています。
