Indigo Blue Hand-dyed Apron

$183.99
Light Indigo

The Indigo Blue Hand-dyed Apron is made by Chizu Blue in Chizu Town, in the Chizu Mountains. Its original pull‑over design makes it quick and easy to put on and take off, no tying required. The soft linen fabric lacks the typical scratchy feel and becomes fluffier and softer with each wash. You can adjust the fit by changing where you tie the straps, so you can wear it loosely at whatever size feels most comfortable.

Chizu Blue is a cooperative founded by local women who preserve Chizu’s traditional dyeing techniques. The cooperative grows and harvests indigo themselves, ensuring their products are gentle on people and the environment and safe to use. Prized for its superior craftsmanship and quality, Japanese indigo is produced by fermenting the dye in vats for months. This all-natural, plant-based indigo has been treasured worldwide since ancient times. Wearing it is like wearing the color of nature.
