Bunka Knife
The bunka (文化包丁) knife is a shorter, more agile all-purpose knife with a distinctive reverse tanto tip. It is angular and precise, where a santoku is rounded. It handles vegetables, fish, and light meat work equally well and is favored by cooks who want the versatility of a santoku with a sharper, more defined point for detail cutting. Each bunka blade in our collection is made in Japan by regional bladesmiths.
