Since then, it has been part of the Japanese cuisine, spicing up any dishes and widely used among the country.
Shichimi Togarashi ingredients are flexible, and mostly sold with a fixed formula. Only sometimes you can find market vendors who mix them custom-made to the preference of the customers - Tokyo Rainbow Spice is such a place.

What is Budo Sansho?
Budo Sansho literally means "grape pepper", and is a fragrant slightly spicy pepper growing in Wakayama Prefecture. It got its name from growing in clusters of little berries - which resembles grapes.
