  • Kurouchi 'Santoku' Kitchen Knife (handcrafted from steel, 15cm blade length
  • Red Sharpening Stone (15cm x 4cm x 3cm)
  • FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING

A handcrafted double bevel knife made of Shirogami (white steel) No.2 steel, a very traditional steel prized by blacksmiths and knife nerds alike for its great edge retention and legendary sharpness.
The knife has a light poplar wooden handle, and the blade is engraved with the signature of the smithy. The pack includes a small whetstone you can use to keep your blade clean and sharp.
About the blade type: This is a multi purpose knife, especially handy for cutting veggies.
You can choose from between a normal or thick blade.
Thicker blades are more durable and suited for heavy-duty tasks, while thinner blades are better for precision cutting and slicing due to their ease of maneuverability.

*Since each knife is crafted by hand, weight and dimensions might slightly vary for each knife. We ask for your kind understanding.

*Depending on the number of orders and the smithy's situation, shipping the knife out might take up to 3 weeks.

*The knife is made from steel, so there will be a certain amount of rusting over time. Use the included sharpening stone to get rid of the rust. Find an explanation video on knife sharpening on the bottom of this page.

* Depending on the value of your order and local import rules of your country, there might be additional import taxes you have to pay upon arrival of the package.

Love the Knife and the story that goes with it

This Knife is enjoyable to use and knowing the passion that went into creating it is just as important to me. This was order #1970

I do have questions about 2 more orders that I have yet to have info on when they will arrive here. these are orders #1973 and #1977 thx

A knife from my friend in Japan.

That’s what it feels like. I look at my knife holder and see three carbon steel knives…all very easily honed and razor sharp. Nicely balanced. Well mannered on the playground. And they do like to play…being an excellent size. Instead of the sticker on the handle they should sign their name right on that bright wood handle with a “woodburning” tool. That would be awesome…like my friends over there made it just for me.

Best knives for my kitchen

I’ve seen them on YouTube and love the show .
I’ve ordered two different knives from two makers.
I make knives here in the USA but the style I don’t make is what came.
Yes they came on time from Japan.
The tracking was awesome .
They let me know when they shipped and to my delivery .
I will be watching out for more videos showing more makers and will order more.

Great Knife

Excellent knife, that i have used several times all ready. Really great craftsmanship.
The shipping to Denmark was done without any problems, and my daughter loves the newspapers you used to fill the box, she will use them for decorations.
