The handcrafted knife is made of Aogami steel and soft iron, and has a Sakura wood handle. The blade is engraved with the signature of the smithy.

*Since each knife is crafted by hand, weight and dimensions might slightly vary for each knife.

*Depending on the number of orders and the smithy's situation, shipping the knife out might take up to 3 weeks.

 *The knife is made from steel, so there will be a certain amount of rusting over time. Use the included sharpening stone to get rid of the rust. Find an explanation video on knife sharpening on the bottom of this page.

* Depending on the value of your order and local import rules of your country, there might be additional import taxes you have to pay upon arrival of the package.

Happy to support Japanese Food Craftman

I’m all smiles about receiving my handmade Nakamura hamono aogami bunka!
It go will nicely with my Japanese knife collection!
I find that my Japanese knives puts a smile on my face when I’m in the kitchen prepping for a meal! They make cutting foods a breeze! It’s like I can’t wait to find reason to get in the kitchen, break out my Japanese knife kit and have fun slicing and dicing!

Best knife I have!

I have around 10 good knives, the kind you never lend to anyone, ever. By far this knife is the best! It holds the edge really well, is very well balanced and lighter than it looks. A real delight to work with, and it looks far much nicer than others.

Exceeded expectations

Purchased the Nakamura Bunka knife that appeared to be very nice. The quality, craftsmanship and speedy shipping I don’t think can be over stated. The hand made aspect of the knife is what I was looking for and it surpassed all pre-conception. The shipping to the West coast was very fast. Would recommend this to a friend or give as a gift.
