The handcrafted knife is made of Aogami steel and soft iron, and has a Sakura wood handle. The blade is engraved with the signature of the smithy.
*Since each knife is crafted by hand, weight and dimensions might slightly vary for each knife.
*Depending on the number of orders and the smithy's situation, shipping the knife out might take up to 3 weeks.
*The knife is made from steel, so there will be a certain amount of rusting over time. Use the included sharpening stone to get rid of the rust. Find an explanation video on knife sharpening on the bottom of this page.

Swordsmith Eiji Nakamura opened his smithy - Nakamura Hamono - in 1900 in Oita to provide the local community with practical tools for farming and daily life. Today, his 74-year-old grandson Tetsuyoshi Nakamura runs the shop, along with his son and fourth-generation blacksmith, Kozo Nakamura.
The two craftsmen keep to traditional crafting techniques while adapting to modern needs. They create kitchen knives, household cutlery, farming tools, and professional knives. Known for their uniquely creative knives made from fine steels, Nakamura Hamono blends practical functionality with a distinctly Japanese style.
