This is Kintsugi Kurashi
Scars are a part of the history of a person. As are cracks in objects. Rather than disguising these imperfections, they should be embraced and celebrated.
Finding the beauty in the imperfect - that is the underlying Zen philosophy of the art of Kintsugi.
Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese craft technique that utilizes lacquer and gold to repair broken ceramic pieces.
And at the workshop "Kintsugi Kurashi" in Tokyo, craftsmen and women teach people how to repair their broken tableware in a beautiful and meaningful way.
