The handcrafted knife is made of Aogami steel and soft iron, and has a chestnut wood handle. The blade is engraved with the signature of the smithy.

*Since each knife is crafted by hand, weight and dimensions might slightly vary for each knife. We ask for your kind understanding.

*Depending on the number of orders and the smithy's situation, shipping the knife out might take up to 3 weeks.

 *The knife is made from steel, so there will be a certain amount of rusting over time. Check out the video on the bottom of this page on how to care for your knife and get rid of rust.

Great service and excellent knife!!

The communication with the customer service department, Mari, was great, all my questions were answered. The knife is well balanced, handles very good, sharp, excellent for slicing all types of fruits and vegetables, and great for detailed cuts of meats.

I found the Japanese food craftsman you tube channel, the first episode I watched was the one of your family producing these beautiful knives. I admire the Japanese heritage of metal work and seafood preparation.
This knife you have made is so nice! The best I've ever used.
I'm not a chef... I'm a keen fisherman and a big fan of handcrafted kitchen ware.
So I'm very honored to have this bunka knife.
