This is Yamawaki Hamono
Sakai knives have been around for over 600 years. This tradition is not the work of one smithy - it is made of a conglomerate of blacksmiths, blade sharpening professionals and merchants, who all strive to carry this tradition to the next generation.
And this is what makes Sakai knives so special, and why many consider them to be the best in the world.
Yamawaki Hamono is one of the professional blade sharpeners in Sakai City, and has been working with high-end knives since 1927.
The craftsmen at Yamawaki Hamono are blending traditional and cutting-edge techniques, creating knives with a sharpness and quality that cannot be found elsewhere.

Caring for your knife will make it last you for decades. After using the knife, wash it with clean water, remove water, and place it in newspaper to prevent rusting.
