This is Nishida Hamono
In the small town of Minamisaki in Kumamoto Prefecture, craftsman Nishida-san sits in front of his forge, crafting true Japanese-style knives.
He has spent over 20 years mastering the art and soul of blacksmithing. With each swing of his hammer, the strives to create better quality and better sharpness with each knife he makes. From beginning to end, he does the whole crafting process by himself.
In a world where traditional handcrafting traditions slowly disappear in the face of mass production, he keeps preserving centuries old traditions of "Honwarikomi".
